One of Central London’s most iconic 5-star hotels has an amazing career opportunity for a talented Senior Meeting and Events Planning Director to lead their Events Planning team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Events Manager or Events Director with in-depth experience of Events Planning to lead a team in a unique property that forms part of a prestigious internationally recognised brand.

Role Scope

The property offers around 30 meeting rooms and 2 large conference and banqueting suites that host a variety of both small and large scale events. As the Meeting and Events Planning Director, you will oversee all Meeting and Event Operations and the successful delivery of all Events, managing around 10 direct reports. This is an all-encompassing role with end-to-end "hands-on" responsibility for planning and delivering a best-in-class meeting and events service for the hotel.

Responsibilities of the Meeting and Events Planning Director will include:

  • Directing Event Management Operations
  • Leading various Event Management Teams, Event Planning, F&B Catering
  • Managing Budgets to ensure Profitability
  • Participating in HR and Recruitment Activities
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service is Delivered

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Senior Events Planning Manager and/or Events Director experience in a similar hotel
  • Experience in delivering both small and large scale high profile events
  • In-depth knowledge of all areas of event planning and delivery
  • Relevant degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality or Events (advantageous)
  • Strong team leadership and people management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety and compliance in relation to M&E services
