Our client is a leading, well established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor with a rich history of successfully completing a diverse range of projects throughout the UK. Their portfolio spans multiple commercial and industrial schemes including retail, healthcare, education and religious sectors.

The Position

  • As the Senior Mechanical Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Attending site meetings to discuss the design brief with the various stakeholders.
  • Outline budget costings for projects.
  • Production of working drawings and schematics to be sent to the CAD department for issue.
  • Carry out engineering concept design to detailed design, tender and contract on site supervision, to completion, ensuring projects are undertaken in accordance with design briefs and that completion deadlines are achieved.
  • Liaise with the design team to produce co-ordinated designs that are technically compliant, to a consistent quality and standard.
  • Provide positive contribution to design/project meetings.
  • Maintain regular in house design reviews and checks.
  • Monitor and control project progress, design variations and project financial budgets.
  • Maintain excellent client and design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction and repeat business, to achieve excellent Customer Satisfaction of 100%.

The Person

  • Possess excellent understanding and experience in the HVAC Building Services Industry.
  • Hold an HNC/HND in Building Services Engineering as a minimum requirement.
  • Highly organized with a logical and disciplined approach to deadlines.
  • Excellent skills in specification and report writing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10 and AutoCAD 2020.
  • Experience with electronic mail systems, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Carrying out estimates for tenders and contracts.
