We are currently recruiting for a Document Controller on behalf of a bespoke electrical and mechanical engineering company who manage the complete mechanical engineering process including design, manufacture and commissioning. They mainly work within Water Utilities.
Operating over 35 years, they are a family owned organisation who have gained a reputable name within the industry for their high-quality work and excellent customer service.
They have a client base which boasts some of the biggest names in the engineering sector. Mainly working within the Waste Water and Clean Water industries they provide a range of services including surveying through to design, fabrication, installation and implementation.
The Document Controller will ensure document management best practices and principles are applied across all assigned Projects, rigorously, maintaining control and traceability of the documentation throughout all Projects phases.
This is a permanent position paying £40k per annum. This is a hybrid role. You will be split across working from the office, working from home and attending site visits as required. Perks also include pension, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, training & development etc.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the document control processes and procedures within the Company Projects
- Compile all O&M Manuals
- Compile all H&S files and Asset Integration Manuals for all Southern Water and Thames Water delivery projects
- Monitoring of documentation progress in accordance with any agreed schedule, to ensure any possible delay is immediately highlighted
- Issuing of the progress reporting on the status of the documents
- Ensure the use of standardised forms and templates across the Project
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure all documentation is completed to meet client expectations.
- Support with ad-hoc administrative tasks
Skills & Attributes
- Experience in a document management role
- Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems and relevant implementation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with project team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven IT skills
