Due to growth we are currently recruiting for an Air Conditioning Engineer on behalf of a well-known and successful M&E and HVAC contractor. They are Daikin D1+ dealers, REFCOM elite & Toshiba approved partners.
Operating over 20 years, they provide Facilities Management, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Ventilation Services and Catering Equipment Repairs. They operate in a range of sectors including commercial, educational, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, retail, leisure and public sector.
As the Air Conditioning Engineer you will be responsible for commissioning, servicing, fault finding, installing and maintaining splits, multi splits, VRV and VRF air conditioning systems along with working on ASHP and cold rooms within the North East & Cumbria area.
This is a permanent position paying £40k - £45k per annum depending on experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 5pm. Perks include Van & Fuel Card. Private use of van is allowed. Overtime is paid at x1.5 Saturday morning/weekday evenings, double time for Saturday afternoon and Sundays. Pension. 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Training and Development opportunities. The call out rota is 1 week in every 6. Weekly rate for each discipline with a minimum of 4 hours call out for each call.
Responsibilities
- Fault finding on split, multi split & VRV / VRF air conditioning systems along with cold room applications.
- Servicing and maintenance of split, multi split & VRV / VRF air conditioning systems.
- Commissioning of split, multi split & VRV / VRF air conditioning systems.
- Service, commissioning and fault finding of Heat Recovery ventilation systems.
- Dealing with emergencies and unplanned breakdowns - inclusion in out of hours call rota.
- Working to relevant Health & Safety Practices while on site.
- Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.
Skills & Attributes
- Relevant qualification in Air-conditioning and refrigeration.
- F-Gas Qualification.
- Able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and experience of Air Conditioning installations within commercial buildings.
- Background in building services/facilities management would be beneficial.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.
- Full UK Driving License.
