Job Description

Overview\\n\\nDue to growth we are currently recruiting for a Lift Service Engineer on behalf of a national lift company providing professional lift maintenance, repairs, modernisations and lift installations.\\n\\nOperating over 35 years, they have over 280 employees working for them and a turnover in excess of £37 million.\\n\\nThey operate in a range of sectors including commercial, residential, educational, healthcare, hospitality, retail and leisure. They have over 10,000 lifts under maintenance contracts.\\n\\nThe jobs involve service, repair, and reactive works of all manufacture types of lift with the use of a company vehicle, mobile phone & PDA being provided. You will be working on a range of sites including residential homes, schools, offices and superstores.

This role would be covering the Devon/Plymouth area.\\n\\nThis is a permanent position paying £45k per annum depending on experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Perks include Van & Fuel Card.

Paid door to door travel. Private use of van is allowed. Plenty of overtime available paid at premium rates.

Pension. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Training and Development opportunities.

The call out rota is 1 week in every 5.\\n\\nResponsibilities\\n\\n * Maintenance & Repair: Performing regular service checks, identifying, and repairing faults on various lift types.\\n\\n * Emergency Response: Attending call-outs, diagnosing issues, and repairing breakdowns to minimize downtime.\\n\\n * Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work adheres to health and safety regulations, performing risk assessments, and completing log cards.\\n\\n * Documentation: Recording maintenance work, producing reports for clients, and managing site documentation.\\n\\n * Ensure that any work carried out is compliant with relevant legislation and is in line with contract SLAs.\\n\\nSkills & Attributes\\n\\n * Experience with planned preventative lift maintenance.\\n\\n * Experience in fault finding, call outs & repairs.\\n\\n * Preferably an NVQ qualification of Level 3 or Equivalent.\\n\\n * Good communication and customer service skills.\\n\\n * Integrity, reliability, and willingness to be a team player.\\n\\n * The ability to work independently and use your own initiative.\\n\\n * An eye for detail and a desire to work to a very high standard.\\n\\n * Full UK Driving Licence.\\n\\nNote:- Apex Resourcing Solutions are acting as an Employment Agency
