Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a national provider of sustainable heating solutions. Operating for over 35 years, they have hundreds of staff working for them across multiple offices in the UK. Their services include the design, installation, maintenance and management of plant rooms and heat networks on behalf of local authorities, universities, factories, housing associations, private landlords and utility energy suppliers.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering low carbon heating and cooling energy infrastructure. This will involve delivery of a variety of projects ranging from entirely new zero carbon networks to upgrade and retrofit projects on existing systems. You will be involved from early project development stage through to scheme close. You will be innovative and have an excellent attitude to the pro-active management of Health and Safety, delivery to time, budget, and quality; as well as overseeing compliance with Construction Regulations (where apply).
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The salary is paying £50k - £55k per annum. The role offers hybrid working (Home/Site/Office). You will also receive a car allowance, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company pension, private healthcare, death in service benefit 4x annual salary, training schemes and development opportunities.
We are looking for a Northern based candidate. Someone based in West Yorkshire would be ideal.
Responsibilities:- Robust management of health and safety to industry best practice.
- Overall delivery of the project to its key metrics including programme, budget, and specification.
- Report to Board on key performance measures.
- Proactive management of all project risks.
- A clear understanding and management of project critical path, and dependencies.
- Leadership of the project team, and an advocate for personal skills development.
- Cultivate supply chain (growing sector) and management of subcontractors.
- Overseeing the maintenance of project records; ensuring a high standard of information.
- Previous experience in a technical project delivery role.
- Proven leadership experience managing remote engineering teams.
- Deep technical knowledge of communal heating systems.
- Familiarity with AMR technologies (Mbus, Radio, DLC) and prepayment systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Ability to thrive in multi-site, multi-client environments.
- A natural motivator and coach who brings out the best in people.
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive in fast-paced settings.
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- IOSH Health & Safety qualification (or willingness to achieve this upon appointment).
- Tech-savvy with digital tools and mobile work technology.
- A full UK driving licence.
