Overview
We are currently recruiting for Electricians on behalf of a successful interior construction contractor. They offer a wide range of services including interior design & fit-out, electrical contracting, energy solutions and more.
Established over 30 years, they have a workforce of over 50 employees. They mainly work in the commercial, industrial and retail sectors. They often work on retail outlets, office blocks, warehouses, restaurants and showrooms. Clients include the likes of North Face, Ford, Asda, B&Q etc.
As the Electrician, you will be joining the installation team and be required to work away Monday Thursday. You would set off on Monday morning and be back home Thursday evening. You would then have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off work.
This is a permanent position paying £18.50 £19.50 per hour. You would be working Monday to Thursday, 12 hour days. The first 8 hours are paid at standard rate and the 4 hours after that are paid at time and a half. This means you should earn a minimum of £53k per annum. Accommodation is paid for and you will also receive a daily allowance. Perks include van & fuel card, pension and 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays. This will rise to 29 days after 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation work to BS7671.
- Ensure the Client and Team are kept in the loop through feedback and regular updates.
- Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
- To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
Skills & Attributes
- 18thEdition or relevant qualification.
- Experience working on commercial or retail sites.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
- Good customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
- Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
