OverviewWe are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a successful interior construction contractor. They offer a wide range of services including interior design & fit-out, electrical contracting, energy solutions and more.
Established over 30 years, they have a workforce of over 50 employees. They mainly work in the commercial, industrial and retail sectors. They often work on retail outlets, office blocks, warehouses, restaurants and showrooms. Clients include the likes of North Face, Ford, Asda, B&Q etc.
As the Electrical Engineer, you will mainly be working on Commercial, Retail and Industrial sites. The role is a mix of installation and maintenance work. We are looking for someone who is able to lead a project, read drawings under a project manager, order materials.
This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week, paying £47,840 per annum. There is plenty of overtime available. 1.5x after 8 hours on site – 2 x rate/hr Saturday after 12:00pm – 2 x rate/hour Sunday (Travel time is always single rate and is paid door to door when working away). You will receive a van and fuel card which can be used for private use. You will receive 21 days holiday +1 day per year worked to a max 25 plus bank holidays. Other perks include pension, death in service, training and progression opportunities. This role does require working away.
Responsibilities
To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPM\’s are completed within the contract defined time SLA\’s & KPI\’s.
Carry out electrical installation work to BS7671.
Ensure the Client, Customer and Team are \’kept in the loop\’ through feedback and regular updates.
Contribute to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer.
To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
Skills & Attributes
18th Edition or relevant qualification.
Testing and inspection 2391 desirable but must be willing to train to achieve if not in possession.
Happy to travel and work away when required.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
Good customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
Full UK Driving Licence.
