We are currently recruiting for a Pump Service Engineer on behalf of a leading manufacturer of rotating electrical machinery and pumps across the UK and internationally. Established over 20 years, they provide their services to a range of sectors including government, education, FM, rail, marine and many more.

As the Pump Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site maintenance, repair and installation on various makes & models of clean & dirty water pumps & associated equipment. You will be covering a 50 mile radius of Bristol. This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. The hours are 7:30am – 4pm. The salary is paying £42k per annum depending on experience. Perks include performance-based annual bonus, overtime paid at premium rates, van & fuel card, pension, private healthcare, training & qualifications and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Fault Investigation & Repair – Attending client sites when required to investigate faults with field-based equipment, repairing where possible and reporting all findings.
  • Installations & Modification Upgrades – Carry out pump & related equipment replacements & installations when required.
  • Following site visits, advise the build of materials & solutions needed for the accurate quoting of remedial repairs.
  • Ensuring that equipment complies with current regulations.
  • Tank cleaning & Chlorination services as part of a team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Previous experience working as a Pump Engineer.
  • CSCS Certification and National Water Hygiene Blue Card would be beneficial.
  • 18th edition Electrical Competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
