Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a well-established Building Services Maintenance Contractor. Established over 35 years, they provide reliable and professional management and support of your building needs throughout London and the South East. Their office is based in Bracknell. They offer a range of services including Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Commercial & Domestic Gas Services, Electrical Services and Facilities Management. Their clients are mainly in the commercial sector and include schools and colleges.
As the Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services in various locations ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems. You will be covering sites across London and Bracknell. This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday 7am β 3pm, and the salary is paying Β£46k - Β£50k per annum depending on experience. Perks include van & fuel card + Overtime + Pension + Sick Pay + Life Insurance + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Pre Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on M&E and electrical systems and equipment.
- Weekly Fire Alarm Bell Testing.
- Emergency Light Testing.
- Electrical Remedials.
- PAT Testing.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance tasks.
- Undertake installation tasks, including minor projects related to power supply, lighting, power distribution etc.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults, ensuring timely repairs.
- Ensure Compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report findings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
Skills & Attributes:
- Fully qualified with NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds in Electrical Installation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Proven Experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
- Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
- Good customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- An excellent understanding of Health and Safety.
- Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems.
- Full UK Driving License.
