A forward-thinking multidisciplinary consultancy based in Manchester is currently seeking a Chartered Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of innovative, compliant, and energy-efficient engineering solutions across a varied project portfolio. They deliver innovative electrical and mechanical engineering, architecture, BIM, and sustainable design solutions across high-profile commercial, residential, healthcare, and education projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Electrical Engineer to take a leading role in the delivery of high-quality building services projects from concept through to completion. The role offers the chance to lead electrical design on major schemes, manage multidisciplinary project teams, liaise directly with clients and stakeholders, and contribute to the development of junior engineers.
Responsibilities of the Chartered Electrical Engineer:- Lead and deliver electrical design projects from concept through to completion across a range of building sectors.
- Manage electrical services on large-scale schemes and oversee MEP delivery on smaller multidisciplinary projects.
- Produce and coordinate calculations, technical designs, specifications, and project documentation to a high standard.
- Liaise closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, attending and leading project meetings when required.
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and external professionals to ensure smooth and compliant project delivery.
- Manage project resources, programme priorities, and fee expenditure alongside senior leadership.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, graduates, and apprentices within the team.
- Chartered Engineer status achieved or currently working towards Chartership.
- Strong experience in electrical building services design, delivering a range of complex and technically challenging projects.
- Proficient in industry-standard software and modern design delivery tools including BIM, Revit, Dialux, Relux, and ElectricalOM.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams within a consultancy environment.
- Solid understanding of current British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry best practices.
