Apex are supporting a fast-growing UK prop-tech company modernising the lettings industry with smart, end-to-end digital solutions. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team in their Edinburgh office. Trusted by over 1,000 agents, they simplify the entire rental journey, helping customers save time, reduce admin, improve efficiency, and drive stronger commercial results through innovation and technology-led solutions.

As the Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of their growth across the country, opening doors, building influence, and turning conversations into commercial wins. Working with everyone from independent agents to large-scale housing operators, you'll own the journey from first contact to signed deal. This is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, momentum, and building something from the ground up.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Creating and driving your own regional growth strategy from the ground up
  • Building a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach, referrals, networking, events, and existing industry relationships
  • Leading consultative conversations and delivering engaging platform demonstrations across the wider technology portfolio
  • Securing new partnerships within the lettings, housing, and build-to-rent sectors
  • Representing the business in person with regular travel across England
  • Sharing market insight and customer feedback to support future product development
  • Delivering against ambitious revenue targets while identifying new opportunities for growth
  • Managing your own activity, forecasting, and territory performance

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in business development, ideally within SaaS, property, housing, or prop-tech
  • A proactive and target-driven mindset with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable managing a territory independently
