They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team working in Runcorn. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of civils and structural repair projects, supporting profitability, contractual compliance, and financial performance from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you’ll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of specialist infrastructure and concrete repair schemes.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Manage the commercial delivery of civils and concrete repair projects
- Assist with cost control, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Manage subcontract procurement and account administration
- Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Support the management of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
- Work closely with site and operational teams to ensure commercial success
- Maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships
- Support tendering and pricing activities where required
Skills & Experience of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils, infrastructure, concrete repairs, or specialist construction sectors
- Understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts and project costs
- Background working on civils, structures, or concrete repair projects is highly desirable
