Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV / Fleet Vehicle Technician to join our client’s busy operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining fleet vehicles to the highest safety and compliance standards, ensuring maximum vehicle availability and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled four-weekly vehicle inspections in line with DVSA/VOSA compliance standards.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections, including servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise fleet downtime.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records for fleet compliance and audit purposes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining high workshop standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in HGV, commercial vehicle, or fleet maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of DVSA/VOSA compliance standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
