Job Title: CAD/CAM Operator Location: East Kilbride Industry: Manufacturing The Role: Apex Resources are hiring for a CAD/CAM Operator, you will play a key role in supporting our clients design and production processes. You will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimising digital models and CNC programs to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality components. Working closely with engineers, machinists, and production staff, you will help bridge the gap between design and manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and prepare CAD models and drawings for manufacturing. * Generate and optimise CAM programs for CNC machining. * Ensure designs meet technical specifications, tolerances, and quality standards. * Collaborate with design engineers and production teams to resolve design and manufacturing challenges. * Maintain accurate records of CAD/CAM files and revisions. * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency. Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in CAD/CAM operations within a manufacturing environment. * Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and tooling. * Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks) * Understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, and material properties. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
