Quantity Surveyor Location: Burnley Salary: Negotiable
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years' experience to join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative commercial team, working on a diverse range of new build and refurbishment projects across sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, retail, leisure and public sector developments.

Working alongside Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
Responsibilities
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
- Preparing and reviewing tender enquiries and subcontract documentation.
- Processing subcontractor applications and valuations.
- Measuring and valuing variations.
- Assisting with monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
- Preparing client valuations and supporting final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs and identifying value engineering opportunities.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
- Supporting the commercial team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
About You
- 2–3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Experience working for a main contractor is preferred.
- Good understanding of JCT forms of contract.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
