Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration Location: Warwick Pay Rate: £38 - £40 per hour Contract: Outside IR35, Limited Company Role Summary An exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring successful delivery of propulsion system requirements throughout the product lifecycle. The Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration will apply systems engineering principles to define, integrate and validate complex propulsion solutions while managing technical interfaces across multiple vehicle domains. The role is responsible for leading cross-functional collaboration, programme execution, risk management and engineering excellence to achieve performance, cost and timing targets. Role & Responsibilities Lead integration and delivery of propulsion system software, controls and calibration activities across vehicle programmes. Ensure alignment between hardware, software, controls and system requirements to achieve propulsion performance and vehicle attribute targets. Coordinate software release planning and deployment activities against programme milestones and gateway deliverables. Manage cross-functional collaboration between controls, calibration, systems, validation and commodity engineering teams. Lead propulsion verification and validation activities including MIL, SIL, HIL, vehicle-level testing and sign-off events. Support development and validation of torque control, energy management, thermal management, drivability, efficiency, performance and diagnostic functions. Review and approve software change requests, issue investigations and corrective actions. Drive root cause investigation and resolution of vehicle integration, software, calibration and controls-related issues. Ensure software maturity and readiness for prototype, DV, PV, launch and production gateways. Support vehicle-level testing, data analysis and issue triage activities. Manage functional integration and validation of propulsion features including regenerative braking, torque delivery, charging interactions, diagnostics and thermal control strategies. Manage propulsion systems requirements and facilitate risk and opportunity discussions with stakeholders. Collaborate with programme, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and development teams. Track programme timelines, budgets and deliverables to support successful delivery. Support gateway material preparation and issue resolution. Act as a key technical authority for the Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration function across programmes. Requirements of the Role Strong experience within Propulsion System Engineering.
