Supplier Quality Engineer Location: Coventry Permanent Salary: £45 – £55K + Company Bonus + Benefits Working Hours: 39 hours per week (core hours 9am–3pm with flexibility either side) Working location: 5 days a week on site (no hybrid working) About the Role Join a forward-thinking manufacturing business where attitude is valued as much as experience. We\’re looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support quality processes, acting as a lead interface for both internal and external teams including customers and suppliers. Supplier Quality Engineer Responsibilities: Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives and internally on supplier management and associated processes Roll-out and support the implementation of the Zero-Defect program to key suppliers to reduce defective parts per million Execute the Supplier audit plan in line with the Working Assessment of Supplier Performance Drive root cause and corrective actions using problem resolution methodologies such as 8Ds Review First Article Inspection Reports to AS 9102 Work closely with other departments to ensure suppliers compliance Govern key business metrics that demonstrates compliance to AS 9100 and customer requirements To ensure prompt corrective and preventative action against nonconforming product and external audit actions Ability to analyse nonconforming data and make recommendations for supplier/process improvements Ability to work with the suppliers to manage the Source Transfer programme. To support account reviews with the relevant buyer The skills and experience we are looking for: Experience working as a Supplier Quality Engineer Strong Quality background within Aerospace and a working knowledge of AS 9100 and AS 9102 is highly desirable. Proficient in APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, Root Cause analysis. Demonstratable experience with supplier audits and development Understanding of Calibration systems.
