This Quality Inspector role involves working within a small, highly skilled team to deliver high-quality transmission components, primarily for the motorsport and aerospace sectors. The Quality Inspector will focus on achieving right first-time quality through accurate inspection, strong technical understanding, and adherence to routed timeframes.
Role & Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:
- Interpret and work accurately from complex technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Inspect components against drawings and planning route cards to the highest quality standards.
- Carry out manual inspection using a range of measuring equipment.
- Perform table work to validate components against drawing and planning requirements.
- Support continuous improvement activities through proactive problem-solving.
- Provide flexible support to other manufacturing areas when required.
- Work additional hours when necessary to meet delivery deadlines.
Requirements of the Role:
- The Quality Inspector will have a strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.
- Experience inspecting precision components within routed timeframes.
- Competence using manual measuring equipment.
- Experience performing detailed table inspection work.
- Programming experience on CMM systems would be beneficial.
- Knowledge of Mitutoyo software would be advantageous.
