We are seeking a Metrology Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality engineering analysis across a premium automotive vehicle portfolio. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll be responsible for supporting the measurement and analysis of components, properties, and complete vehicles to enable continuous improvement and meet key production milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Meisterbock/Cubing and whole-vehicle dimensional analysis in line with established metrology processes.
- Plan and manage daily project activities within your designated area.
- Perform dimensional measurements using tactile and optical equipment, interpreting data and reporting findings.
- Carry out root cause analysis of dimensional issues and communicate solutions effectively.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers to improve part and system quality.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong practical knowledge of dimensional measurement tools and software (PolyWorks, PowerInspect, GOM Inspect).
- Familiarity with measurement first principles, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to interpret CAD data (preferably Catia) and understand fitment processes.
- Experience with the Product Emergence Process and change management procedures.
- Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
- HNC in an Engineering discipline or a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
- Relevant metrology training (e.g., NPL module) or equivalent experience.

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The final pay rate offered will be inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs.
