Role Summary
An opportunity for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical leadership, support production and drive manufacturing process improvements within a regulated engineering environment.
- Role & Responsibilities of a Senior Manufacturing Engineer
- Provide senior manufacturing engineering support across Production, Quality, Engineering and Operations.
- Lead problem-solving, RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA and Zero Defect activities.
- Deliver continuous improvement projects across safety, quality, cost, delivery, capacity and process efficiency.
- Coordinate team priorities and deputise for the Manufacturing Engineering Manager when required.
- Support Capex projects from business case and specification through to installation, validation and handover.
- Maintain manufacturing documentation, routings, BOMs and ERP master data.
- Support NPI, engineering changes, tooling and design for manufacture activities.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and support audits, customer reviews and Product Safety activities.
Requirements Of The Role
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience within Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer within aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean, Continuous Improvement, RCCA, CAPA and PFMEA.
- Experience managing engineering improvement projects and controlled manufacturing change.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems and CAD software, ideally Solid Works.
- Capex, CNC, Six Sigma or Project Management experience would be advantageous.
