Location: Leamington Spa

Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Rotating weekly shifts: Shifts 6.00 am - 2.30 pm and 2.30 pm - 11 pm on Friday

Salary: £34,881.51 per annum + shift allowance (where applicable)

A well-established manufacturing company that specialises in heavy-duty vehicles is looking to recruit a Laser Operator to join their small team based in Leamington Spa on a permanent basis.

The Laser Operator role:

  • Operating and running the Laser machines
  • Manufacturing components to a high standard
  • Ability to interpret and work with CAD/engineering drawings
  • Using engineering measuring equipment such as Vernier’s, callipers, or Micrometres
  • Maintaining machinery by cleaning it, making sure it is in working order and checking and ordering materials needed
  • Working with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
  • Removing and cleaning finished parts ready for Production
  • Daily TMP checks and general maintenance of Laser machines, replacing specific parts, nozzles, lenses etc.
  • Completing your own quality control checks
  • Completion of documentation
  • Keeping to tight deadlines and targets

The ideal Laser Operator:

  • Experience with either Amada, Bystronic or Trumpf machines would be beneficial
  • Machine operating experience
  • Previous experience operating laser cutting machines, setting would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills
