Supporting Prototype Vehicle Development

Location: Woking

Contract Basis: 6-month contract Inside IR35

Support a specialist, fast-growing, high-performance automotive environment as a Fabricator, playing a key role in the build and development of high-quality prototype vehicles, bucks, rigs and associated components for emerging vehicle technologies. You will be involved in a variety of activities across prototype vehicle development, including cutting, shaping, welding, fitting and assembling metal components, as well as supporting build teams with modifications, rework and problem-solving during the development process.

Key Responsibilities of the Fabricator:

  • Carry out sheet metal fabrication work for the Vehicle Development Workshop.
  • Support vehicle builds, rig builds and vehicle testing preparation.
  • Manufacture prototype and development vehicle components.
  • Interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Manage multiple work requests and conflicting priorities.
  • Maintain metal fabrication plant and equipment.
  • Support Health and Safety compliance at all times.
  • Work additional hours, including weekends, when required.

Hours & Pay:

Hours: 40 hours, Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4pm

Pay: Competitive
