Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. We are seeking Paint Line Operatives to support the safe and efficient movement of components through a production paint line. The Paint Line Operative will be responsible for preparing, loading, unloading and inspecting parts while maintaining consistent production flow and required quality standards on a temporary, ongoing basis.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Paint Shop Operator:
- Safely load and unload components from the paint line, maintaining steady flow throughout and minimising production stoppages.
- Prepare parts before painting, ensuring correct orientation, spacing and appropriate racking or hanging.
- Inspect components before and after painting, checking for cleanliness, coating coverage, defects and damage.
- Identify and remove nonconforming components, escalating quality concerns promptly.
- Handle components carefully throughout the process to minimise the risk of damage or contamination.
- Monitor workflow and work closely with paint operators and material handlers to maintain first-in, first-out principles.
- Support production targets by identifying and helping to prevent bottlenecks within the paint line process.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Follow all relevant work instructions relating to PPE, component handling and quality documentation.
The Ideal Paint Shop Operator:
- The Paint Line Operative must be able to follow established production processes and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail when inspecting components for cleanliness, coating quality, defects and damage.
- Ability to prepare and position components correctly for the painting process.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
- Good awareness of production flow and the importance of minimising line stoppages.
- Careful approach to component handling to prevent contamination and damage.
- Ability to maintain appropriate 5S workplace standards.
- Commitment to following PPE, handling and quality documentation requirements.
