We're recruiting Assembly Technicians to join a well-established engineering business supplying high-quality products to some of the world's most recognised automotive manufacturers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a modern manufacturing environment while working as part of a friendly and dedicated team.
The role:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Assembling, fitting and testing components.
- Inspecting parts for damage or defects and completing production paperwork.
- Setting up and operating crimping machines, etchers and testing equipment.
- Picking and packing finished products ready for dispatch.
- Working to production schedules and achieving daily targets.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Working independently while contributing positively within a team.
The successful Assembly Technician will have:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Assembly, fitting or quality inspection experience.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- A flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to carry out manual handling duties.
Working Hours and Pay Rate:
This is a full-time opportunity, 37.5 hrs working Monday - Friday working rotating weekly shifts and overtime as required.
Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 - 12:10 on Friday - £13.20 p/h
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:10 - 18:20 on Friday - £15.84 p/h
As the shifts are weekly rotating, the pay rate averages out at £14.52 per hour.
