An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer β Electrical to join a manufacturing environment, supporting the efficient operation of production machinery, electrical systems, and automated equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and TPM activities and accurately maintain maintenance records.
- Fault-find and repair motors, drives, sensors, control circuits, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Test, commission, and return equipment safely to production following maintenance activities.
- Support maintenance and fault-finding activities on robotic and automated production equipment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with health and safety requirements.
- Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Must hold a recognised electrical qualification such as Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience working with motors, sensors, inverters, and industrial electrical systems.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Predominantly working on a day shift with the flexibility of working rotating shifts:
- Early shift: 6:00amβ2:00pm
- Late Shift: 2:00pmβ10:00pm
