Permanent position located in Leamington Spa with rotating weekly shifts:
- 06.00-14.30 Monday to Thursday
- 06.00-12.00 on Friday
- 14.30-23.00 Monday to Thursday
- 12.00-18.00 on Friday
Salary: £34,881.51 per annum plus shift allowance paid on a weekly basis where applicable.
Our client is a world-leading manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa, specialising in heavy-duty vehicles. They are looking for a Paint Sprayer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for:
- Working in the Paint shop, including masking, paint preparation, and spray painting.
- Ensuring the application of primer and topcoat is flawless.
- Moving parts into the shot blast and paint line using a Gas Counterbalance Forklift truck (training will be provided).
This is a varied and challenging position that requires a broad range of skills including problem solving, multitasking, teamwork, and attention to detail.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or automotive environment and be able to work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Preparation of panels for painting including prime, prep, and masking.
- Paint spraying using 2K and polyurethane paint to the required quality standard.
- Adjusting and maintaining spray equipment.
- Preparing jigs and fixtures.
- Cleaning out spray booths.
- Flattening, polishing, and mopping.
- Ensuring all parts and panels are audited with relevant sign off.
- Using a Forklift Truck to move panels and components into the shot blast and paint line.
Key Skills Required:
- Ideally have an external Gas Counterbalance licence (not essential).
- Paint spraying experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create a flawless finish.
- Willingness to work alone or as part of a team.
- Time management and organisation skills.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H, and environmental procedures.
- Flexibility to work overtime as and when required.
