We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturer with a well-established operation in Barnstaple, North Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a forward-thinking business that supplies high-performance solutions across highly regulated sectors.
As Quality Manager you will be:
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated Quality team to achieve best-in-class performance
- Owning and managing the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
- Designing and executing internal audits, ensuring compliance and continuous readiness
- Acting as the primary interface with customers on quality concerns, driving robust resolution processes
- Championing a Zero Defects Culture, embedding quality awareness across all functions
- Collecting and analysing quality data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements
- Supporting wider Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site
What we’re looking for
- Experience working as a Quality Manager, with proven leadership skills
- In-depth understanding of ISO 9001
- In-depth understanding of IATF 16949 audits would be ideal, but not essential
- Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (or similar)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage at all business levels
- Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
- Proactive, problem-solving approach with a passion for improvement
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be ideal
