We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global manufacturer with a well-established operation in Barnstaple, North Devon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a forward-thinking business that supplies high-performance solutions across highly regulated sectors.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading and mentoring a dedicated Quality team to achieve best-in-class performance
Owning and managing the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
Designing and executing internal audits, ensuring compliance and continuous readiness
Acting as the primary interface with customers on quality concerns, driving robust resolution processes
Championing a Zero Defects Culture, embedding quality awareness across all functions
Collecting and analysing quality data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements
Supporting wider Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the site
What we’re looking for:
In depth understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits (Certification ideal but not essential)
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (or similar)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage at all business levels
Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action
Proactive, problem-solving approach with a passion for improvement
Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be ideal
A Quality Manager looking to continue their career progression
