Overview
Machine Operator – Temporary ongoing assignment – Leamington Spa
Shifts: Days (£14.43 per hour) or Early/Lates (£15.89 per hour). 39 hours per week with possible overtime.
Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They are looking for a Machine Operator to join their existing team on a temporary ongoing basis.
Responsibilities
- Operate and run laser machines
- Manufacture components to a high standard
- Interpret and work to engineering drawings
- Use engineering measuring equipment such as verniers, callipers, or micrometres
- Maintain machinery by cleaning it and ensuring it is in working order
- Check and order materials needed
- Work with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
- Remove and clean finished parts ready for production
- Complete your own quality control checks
- Complete documentation
- Keep to tight deadlines and targets
Qualifications / The ideal Machine Operator
- Laser machine 5 Axis operating experience
- Previous experience of operating laser cutting machines; setting would be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Self-motivated
Shifts & Hours
Days – 07:00-16:00 Mon-Thu and 07:00-12:00 on Friday (30-minute break)
Rotating shifts – 06:00-14:00 Mon-Thu and 06:00-13:00 on Friday; 14:00-22:00 Mon-Thu and 13:00-20:00 on Friday (20-minute break).
39 hours per week + possible overtime
