Production Planner wanted to support a UK-based engineering and manufacturing specialist in Leamington Spa, paying circa £38,000 per annum.

Location: Leamington Spa

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum DOE

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Thursday and Friday 08.00am-1.30pm

Join a specialist team as a Production Planner! This is your opportunity to join a UK-based engineering and manufacturing specialist in their commitment to serve premium automotive, motorsport and advanced engineering sectors by delivering highly complex projects!

Operating from their production facility in Leamington Spa you will take ownership of planning their production, ensuring the smooth running of manufacturing operations by aligning production schedules with customer demand, material availability and site capacity to ensure projects can be delivered on time, every time.

Key responsibilities in your role as a Production Planner:

  • Plan and schedule production to meet customer orders, forecasted demand, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate material availability with purchasing and suppliers to ensure everything is ready when production needs it.
  • Monitor capacity and workloads, helping to balance resources and optimise efficiency across the shop floor.
  • Manage production orders from start to finish, tracking progress and resolving any issues that could affect delivery.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to keep plans on track and solve problems quickly.
  • Track key metrics like on-time delivery, lead times, and stock levels, providing updates and insights to the wider team.
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying ways to streamline processes, reduce waste, and boost accuracy in planning.
  • Use ERP/MRP systems (such as MRPEasy, SAP or Oracle) to manage schedules, materials, and data accurately.
