We are looking for an experienced Indirect Buyer to join a prestigious luxury automotive business based near Daventry. This is a fullâtime, officeâbased role within a fastâpaced, highâperformance environment where quality and precision are everything.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager - Indirect, you will take ownership of sourcing nonâinventory goods and services that keep operations and vehicle production running smoothly - on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
Working crossâfunctionally, you will build strong supplier partnerships, negotiate competitive commercial terms, support Engineering with RFQs, and ensure procurement processes and contractual compliance are upheld throughout.
Responsibilities of the Indirect Buyer- Procure nonâinventory goods and services in line with business requirements
- Assess, select, and manage suppliers to ensure performance across cost, quality, and delivery
- Negotiate commercial terms to deliver costâeffective and valueâdriven outcomes
- Raise and manage Purchase Orders, ensuring timely delivery within budget
- Support Engineering with RFQs for design and development programmes
- Review and interpret contractual documentation, including MSAs, NDAs and Terms & Conditions
- Identify and mitigate supply risks that could impact operational or production schedules
- Collaborate crossâfunctionally to ensure compliance with procurement processes and organisational objectives
- A Bachelor's Degree qualified in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Ideally 3â4 years' experience in indirect procurement or a similar purchasing role
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- CIPS qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Experience within technical or manufacturing environments (advantageous)
- Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fastâpaced environment
