Role Summary
Are you an experienced Integration Engineer looking for a dynamic role within Electrical Engineering test and build environments? This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Integration Engineer supporting simulator, prototype and pre-series vehicle phases within a fast-paced engineering function.
Role & Responsibilities of an Integration Engineer
- Create and lead integration test plans for simulator, prototype, pre-series and series production vehicles
- Manage and execute electrical integration testing activities, ensuring compliance with business security and safety practices
- Produce detailed test reports supporting integration-level and vehicle release activities
- Create, process and manage problem-solving tickets using internal systems
- Own and manage integration testing KPIs, planning workbooks and schedules
- Act as the central point of contact for all integration test planning activities
- Lead integration testing planning meetings and escalate issues through the management structure
- Provide technical support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and wider business functions
- Support diagnosis, analysis, rectification and electrical system updates during build and test phases
- Share technical learning and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Support additional team responsibilities, including workshop stewardship, fleet planning, simulation support and covering management duties when required
Requirements of the Integration Engineer
- Experience within automotive electrical systems
- Experience with electrical testing methods and processes
- Strong planning, prioritisation and communication skills
- Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and reporting systems
- Problem-solving experience within an engineering environment
- Ability to quickly learn specialist engineering equipment and facilities
- Working towards or holding a relevant engineering degree, or equivalent experience
Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella Pay Rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitment’s contribution towards Employer Costs.
