We are seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a busy aftersales workshop in Banbury. This role will involve carrying out vehicle servicing and repairs, MOT testing, campervan conversion inspections and repairs, habitation checks, and campervan accessory fitment. The Vehicle Technician position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on workshop experience, a practical approach, and pride in delivering high-quality work as part of a small, dedicated team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct Class 4 MOT tests in line with DVSA standards, where qualified.
- Diagnose, service and repair vehicles to a high standard.
- Carry out campervan conversion servicing, inspections and repairs.
- Conduct habitation checks and identify any required remedial work.
- Fit campervan accessories and support conversion-related workshop tasks.
- Accurately complete MOT, service, repair and compliance paperwork.
- Keep the workshop safe, professional, organised and well-maintained.
- Work closely with a small, dedicated team to deliver great results and excellent customer outcomes.
Requirements of the Role
- Qualified Mechanic / Vehicle Technician with proven workshop experience.
- Experience with campervan conversions, habitation checks or accessory fitment.
- Valid DVSA MOT Tester Licence Class 4 preferred / required for MOT testing duties.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, professional and proactive approach to work.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
- Previous experience in a Vehicle Technician / Campervan Technician role would be highly beneficial.
