NVH Facility Engineer

Location: Gaydon – On-site
Contract Type: Ongoing, Inside IR35
Rate: £26.65 per hour (Umbrella)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive NVH Facility Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an NVH Facility Engineer , you will be responsible for all aspects of vehicle preparation and testing within the Vehicle Semi-Anechoic Chamber test environment. This includes acquiring test data using LMS software and validating results prior to releasing data to the requesting NVH attribute teams.

The NVH Facility Engineer will be involved in a broad scope of Dynamic and Static test activities at both vehicle and system levels, ensuring the accurate acquisition and reporting of NVH data. This role requires a deep understanding of NVH data acquisition, vehicle components, and noise and vibration measurement techniques.

This position is On-site at our Gaydon location, providing an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a state-of-the-art testing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of vehicle preparation and testing within the Vehicle Semi-Anechoic Chamber.
  • Acquire NVH test data using Siemens LMS software and validate results before releasing data to NVH attribute teams.
  • Conduct Dynamic and Static test activities at both vehicle and system levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including conducting risk assessments.
  • Analyse and report NVH test data, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of vehicle components and systems.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of rig/vehicle-based NVH data acquisition.
  • Experience working within a rig/vehicle test environment.
  • Awareness of risk assessments and health and safety requirements.

Experience Required:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent specific operational experience.
  • Significant experience in operating 4WD chassis dynamometers.
  • Proficient in the acquisition of NVH data using Siemens LMS software.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting of NVH test data.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle components and sub-systems.
  • Skilled in noise and vibration measurement techniques.

Education Required:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent specific operational experience.
