An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician - Electrical to join a manufacturing environment, supporting the efficient operation of production machinery, electrical systems, and automated equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend machinery breakdowns, identify faults, determine root causes, and carry out effective repairs.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and TPM activities and accurately maintain maintenance records.
  • Fault find and repair motors, drives, sensors, control circuits, and PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Test, commission, and return equipment safely to production following maintenance activities.
  • Support maintenance and fault-finding activities on robotic and automated production equipment.
  • Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs and diagnostics.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in line with health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold a recognised electrical qualification such as Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience working with motors, sensors, inverters, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery and automated production equipment.
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.

Working hours: 39 hours per week, predominantly working on a day shift with the flexibility of working rotating shifts.

Early shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
Late Shift: 2:00pm–10:00pm
