Role Summary

As an Automotive Infotainment Test Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on testing and validation of automotive infotainment systems, with a strong emphasis on active NVH technologies at both system and subsystem level. This role requires an execution-focused individual who takes ownership of test delivery and drives results through structured validation and problem-solving.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute comprehensive test programmes for automotive infotainment systems with active NVH functionality.
  • Validate system and subsystem performance against defined automotive quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and drive performance improvements across infotainment platforms.
  • Define, develop, and apply test specifications for new and existing infotainment components.
  • Document test procedures, configurations, and results with a high level of accuracy and clarity.
  • Improve and automate test methodologies to enhance efficiency, repeatability, and robustness.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and NVH teams to ensure integrated system validation.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain test rigs and environments for infotainment and audio system validation.

Requirements of the Role

  • Proven experience working as an Automotive Infotainment Test Engineer or within automotive infotainment testing environments.
  • Strong execution mindset with the ability to independently manage and deliver test programmes.
  • Proficiency in debugging and analysis tools including Wireshark, Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer), Putty, media converters, and JTAG flashing.
  • Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN, Ethernet (Some IP), and A2B.
  • Experience with automotive audio systems and test rig setup for validation activities.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to communicate technical findings clearly.
  • Full UK driving licence.
