About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our friendly care home team. This is a key role that involves supporting residents with their daily needs while also leading the care team and running shifts when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents
- Support and supervise care staff on shift
- Take responsibility for running shifts and allocating tasks
- Ensure care plans are followed and updated
- Administer medication in line with policies (if trained)
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing for all residents
- Act as a point of contact for families and professionals during your shift
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a care home
- Experience running a shift or leading a small team
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Caring, reliable, and professional attitude
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Medication training
- Dementia care experience
