Apex Recruit is looking for an experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with a well-established care provider supporting adults with learning disabilities across Essex. You will work alongside care teams to improve outcomes, promote person-centred support and help reduce restrictive practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the development and review of Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
- Assist with Functional Behaviour Assessments.
- Provide guidance, coaching and practical support to care teams.
- Deliver training and encourage reflective practice.
- Work closely with families, colleagues and external professionals.
- Help services improve quality-of-life outcomes for the people they support.
- Ensure practice follows current legislation, guidance and organisational procedures.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised Positive Behaviour Support qualification.
- At least one year of experience in a PBS Practitioner, PBS Coach or similar role.
- Experience delivering training or coaching to staff teams.
- Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel between services.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Relevant health and social care, management or training qualifications would be an advantage.
