JOB TITLE: Support Worker - Learning Disability/Mental Health LOCATION: Mullagh House, Limavady POST: 1x Temp 36hrs Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-Time for Mullagh House Mullagh House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Mullagh Houses provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.
Essential Criteria QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent And 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental health issues. Or 2 years' experience in a formal care /support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues. Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers' Allowance.
Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting. Please note we do not hold a license to sponsor Working Visa's. At this time we particularly welcome applications from members of the Protestant Community, due to under representation in parts of our workforce.
