Beechway House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It is situated in the Waterside area of Derry-Londonderry. Beechway House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.
Essential Criteria
- QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent and 6 months experience in a formal or informal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
- Or 1 years' experience in a formal or informal care/support role and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health issues. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months.
- Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification.
- Informal Care/Support may include caring at home, and may also include voluntary work.
This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Access NI check. All successful applicants will also be required to provide documentary evidence of their right to work in the UK. Please note Apex do not hold a license to sponsor Working Visa's.
