Starting your Journey:
As a Painter, you will assist in maintaining high brand standards and guest facilities. You should take pride in your work, work well with team members, and ensure safety when handling hazardous substances, working at heights, and conducting risk assessments. You should be able to handle face-to-face and telephone customer enquiries effectively.
You will strive to create memorable moments for our guests to enhance their experience.
In the housekeeping department, your responsibilities include:
- Performing effective painting repairs and preventative work throughout the hotel
- Using paint supplies according to colour codes and designated areas
- Completing painting requests via the Hotel Service Pro system
- Coordinating with the Executive Housekeeper on daily completed work
- Working flexibly to meet business needs
- Adhering to Health and Safety legislation during all painting activities
- Supporting maintenance and housekeeping with tasks from monthly walk rounds
- Assisting the Maintenance Manager as needed
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be efficient, self-motivated, and personable. We value personality and attitude, and provide training to help you succeed. You will undergo a structured 12-week training program to develop your skills and confidence as a Painter. We are looking for someone who:
- Delivers high standards
- Is self-aware and able to evaluate their work
- Can multi-task with attention to detail
- Has experience in painting and decorating
- Knows different types of paints and finishes
- Understands basic decorating and filling techniques
