Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a Restaurant and Bars Manager to join our team as this is a role which will impact and influence key decisions and strategies within the business. We are looking for an innovative and productive leader to join our team, who are friendly and welcoming and willing to go the extra mile for our guests through leading by example. You will spearhead an exciting productivity and growth drive across the hotels' restaurant & bar varied outlets. The role will involve operational shift coverage across a seven-day duty management rota.
As Restaurant and Bars Manager, you will:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Restaurant and bar; incorporating breakfast, lunch and dinner service, room service and catering for larger parties.
- Manage operations at our Chambers Restaurant, Lazy Ballerina Wine Bar, and during the summer months, our Courtyard and Secret Garden.
- Manage recruitment and staff upskilling and training.
- Create a team environment that promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment, engagement and pride in the department and hotel.
- Impact key decisions and strategies.
Starting the Journey: On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Restaurant and Bars Manager. With this in mind, we are looking for a Restaurant and Bars Manager who has:
- Experience at management level in the Food/Bar service sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Restaurant and Bar functions including stock control, Restaurant operation, bar operation, rota management and customer service.
- The ability to inspire and motivate a team of Supervisors, Bartenders and Assistants in service delivery.
- Previous experience in recruitment, coaching, training and performance management of staff.
- Excellent understanding of Licensing Law, Health & Safety and Allergen Legislation, ideally a Personal License holder or suitably qualified.
