As Hotel Manager for Apex City of Bath Hotel, you will bring vision to life, keeping the hotel running smoothly, whilst full of vibrancy and energy. Working with the Regional General Manager and Head Office Support teams, you will be responsible for executing our Commercial, Product and Customer & People strategies, whilst maintaining the hotel's facilities, controlling costs, and delivering financial performance.
You will be responsible for directing, supporting, leading and guiding the Operations Manager and our HOD teams. As a natural leader, you will lead, motivate, coach and inspire, ensuring others are delivering and working to our brand operating standards at an exceptional level. This is a highly visible role, and as the front-facing leader of the hotel, you will be the “ears and eyes” of our Regional General Manager, ensuring you lead a high performing, engaged and happy team. Your main responsibilities are for your home base, though you may be required to assist across the Southern Region and/or in Scotland.
Main Responsibilities:
- Customer centricity: Be a hands-on presence at key operational times to enhance guest experience. Maintain your team's focus on ‘the Customer’s need’, individualising and personalising service where possible and encouraging Team initiative, via the Operations Manager and HOD teams. Development and implementation of customer service plans that support the maintaining and continued high performance growth of our customer NPS. Ensure the highest cleanliness standards across all hotel areas.
- Growth & profitability: Collaborate with your Operational Teams and Sales support teams to support in following up customer lead opportunities and actively grow the business. Direct Operations Managers and HODs to ensure that teams are upskilled and multiskilled in line with business requirements. Work with the Operations Manager and HODs to translate annual strategic business plans into considered departmental scorecard targets and associated activity plans. Manage payroll efficiency, ensuring workforce deployment is optimised.

Lead sustainability initiatives and community-focused projects. Represent the hotel in CSR activities, supporting social impact.
- Strategy delivery: Implement F&B strategies, promotions, and revenue-driving initiatives. Drive a strong sales mentality across all departments.
- Product: Oversee hotel maintenance, ensuring a luxury standard is upheld. Conduct regular inspections and compliance checks. Manage Capex and refurbishment planning for ongoing improvements.
