The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 ÂŁ per year.

This is an on-property role where you will be based in our hotel office space located at City of London Hotels & Temple Court on a rotational basis. Within our Events and Groups team we work to a rota, with core hours covering the office hours between 8:30am – 6pm.

As GCE Executive you will be responsible for effectively promoting all event & group services and functions across our group of hotels to achieve maximum sales revenue and client satisfaction for each booking. You will be the key point of contact for all group accommodation and event enquiries and working as a team, you will be integral in ensuring the achievement of all departmental revenue targets, budgets and KPIs. Managing the process from initial enquiry through to post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming Group room, Conference and Event enquiries in accordance with all departmental SOPs from initial contact to final billing, including enquiries from direct bookers across all market segments, MICE agents and third-party partner platforms.
  • Enter all details into company systems (PMS/Sales & Catering/Restaurant systems), reporting on all activity conducted with each enquiry and booking.
  • Proactively promote group wide hotel facilities to maximise revenue from group accommodation and events, striving to exceed all department KPI’s and targets.
  • Meet all company standards of procedure for enquiries and existing bookings with key focus on conversion and maximising profitability.
  • Responsible for ensuring all assigned client group accommodation and/or event details are communicated expertly, with the highest degree of accuracy and attention to detail via Operational Function sheets.
  • Accountable for preparing and issuing all associated admin to the highest standard in terms of accuracy and aligned to event life cycle deadlines, such as but not limited to, proposals, contracts, invoices, deposit payments, in line with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all bookings using the hotel’s CRM or booking system.
  • Proactively liaise with clients to understand their needs and tailor event packages accordingly, through in person appointments and virtual meetings, including carrying out on property client appointments and show rounds.
  • Coordinate and build relationships with internal stakeholders and colleagues to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and secure repeat or multiyear business and/or carry out proactive sales calls as instructed.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in hotel events, group reservations, or a similar hospitality role.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel booking systems (e.g. Opera, Delphi, Infor SCS) is desirable.
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
