Starting your Journey: As a Class 2 Driver, you will deliver amazing brand standards and service. You will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of linen from our customers playing an important role in making sure our customers have the necessary linen to service their businesses. The driving routes will always start and finish within the same day at the Livingston Laundry, with no overnight or nighttime driving.
You will embrace every opportunity to create extra special moments for our customers and provide a personal experience our customer will want to share. Joining the dedicated Laundry department, you will:
- Distribute and pick up of linen from all Apex customer sites driving the designated Apex vehicle.
- Distributing of all sundry items required by customers.
- Preparing clean linen for each hotel.
- Assisting with the loading of hotel linen orders to Laundry vehicle.
- Maintaining cleanliness of laundry vehicles.
- Adhere with all Highway Code regulations whilst driving the Apex company vehicle.
As a Class 2 Driver, you will have excellent attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before and during their stay. You will be a great multi-tasker, efficient at solving any problems that may arise and you will always have a smile for our teams and guests.
On your first day you will begin a structured 12 week learning journey, giving you the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a great Laundry Driver. With this in mind, we are looking for a Laundry Driver who:
- Can deliver excellent standards
- Has a customer service attitude
- Full UK DVLA Driver's Licence on application with no more than 3 points, with no DD (reckless/dangerous driving), DR (drink or drugs) or CD (careless driving) endorsements.
- Must be able to produce full Category C (Class 2) UK DVLA Driver's Licence on application with no more than 3 points, with no DD (reckless/dangerous driving), DR (drink or drugs) or CD (careless driving) endorsements.
- Must meet all VOSA conditions for driving a 7.5 tonnes vehicle.
- Hold up to date CPC training and a tachograph. Renewal courses may be paid by Apex within employment.
