Role Overview
The Lead Echo Technologist oversees the technical and operational aspects of the Echo Lab, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality patient care, and staff development. They perform all echocardiography procedures, maintain accreditation standards, and support continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Support daily lab operations, assign staff, and monitor staffing levels to meet patient needs.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory management.
- Perform echocardiography and vascular studies following established protocols.
- Administer IV contrast, access veins, and ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements, participating in quality control and performance improvement initiatives.
- Mentor staff, train new hires, and support educational programs and competency validation.
- Assist leadership with performance evaluations, staff coaching, and departmental planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of echocardiography/cardiology experience.
- Competency in non-invasive echo and vascular studies, IV access, and contrast administration.
- ARTR Echo Tech certification and BLS through the American Heart Association.
- Associate's degree required.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality.
