Apex Group Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Finance Team as a Finance Systems and Projects Specialist on a 12 month Fixed Term contract to cover a maternity leave. They will report directly to the Global Head of Financial Reporting & Systems. The successful candidate will play an important role in the maintenance and development of the group’s financial and wider ERP platform and reporting capabilities, along with other similar duties as required. There is an expectation to work proactively, independently when required, and as part of a team.
Job Specification
You will be part of a team who support the finance business owner and the finance related activities of Apex’s strategic ERP systems, primarily Workday, Salesforce and Kyriba. Responsibilities will vary based on priorities; however, it is anticipated that you will help with the processing of merging/liquidating companies in WD as well as getting involved in migrating companies to WD from legacy systems. In addition, assist with a project to uplift sales commission processing for the group and work with operating company finance teams to ensure assets are correctly recorded.
- Responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, namely local finance across the world as well as the central teams such as treasury and accounts payable.
- Responsible for managing all test procedures including any testing documentation.
- Responsible for identifying the application of ERP system changes to enhance business functionality, straight through processing and efficiency improvements.
- Assist with ERP customisation as required (working closely with IT).
- Assist with the management of period end routines including year-end.
- Assist with system integrity such as control account / sub-ledger & trial balance etc.
- Support firm’s accounting and reporting procedures.
- Work with relevant business process owners to coordinate resolutions for any user issues.
Skills Required
- You will ideally have a professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA or similar) or be part qualified in one of them.
- Minimum of 2 years day to day experience of using WD FINS including EIB’s.
- Experience of WD reporting, Custom validations, Business Processes and Assets would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and PowerBI would be an advantage.
- Strong self-starter, able to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
- Clear organisation skills and ability to articulate complex issues concisely.
