Depositary and Trustee services to a range of regulated collective investment funds and private wealth portfolios in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, service levels and company standards to meet client expectations.
- Role & Key Responsibilities
- To manage a busy team of staff with varied experience levels, delivering exceptional administration and fiduciary oversight services to a portfolio of funds, fund services entities and corporate structures - which include key clients of the business
- To take ownership for the client and intermediary relationships within your designated portfolio
- To be responsible for the ongoing development of your team by providing coaching and technical expertise
- To work as part of a management team assisting the director group in meeting targets
- Ensuring a four-eye principle is consistently applied and a high quality of client service standards is maintained
- Oversight of the functionaries and service providers in accordance with scheme documents and outsourcing requirements
- To build relationships with intermediaries, third parties and key client contacts, be seen as the first point of contact and foster client retention
- Effective management of working capital requirements of the business, including WIP, recoverability, billing, prompt fee collection, and staff productivity
- Maintain awareness of risks and clearly understand those risks involved in activities carried out and with respect to own client portfolio
- Monitor team compliance with Policies and Procedures
- Proactively keep up to date with current industry issues and developments
- Support future growth through business development activity as appropriate
Skills Required
- To hold, or be studying towards, a relevant professional qualification recognised by the JFSC preferably ICSA or ACCA
- Broad knowledge and understanding of a wide range of fiduciary products and the specific service offerings within the corporate and fund services space
- Proven knowledge of appropriate Jersey legislation and regulation and the ability to demonstrate both compliance and risk awareness
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical language
- Ability to use own initiative and prioritise and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Act as a role model for team members and others within the business
- Ability to delegate, coach and mentor members of the team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills, and ability to identify and suggest procedural improvements
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective management of risk within the clients you have responsibility for
- Ensure that own skills and professional knowledge are kept up to date, meeting regulated CPD requirements
