Governance support role covering MI reporting, data management, system access administration, policies and procedures, training calendar coordination and remaining remediation tasks.
Purpose of role
The Management Information & Governance Analyst will provide structured operational and governance support across reporting, data quality, system administration, training coordination and supporting any remaining remediation activity.
Key responsibilities
- Management information reporting
- Produce, maintain and distribute regular MI, KPI and governance reports.
- Support the development and enhancement of reporting dashboards, metrics and management packs.
- Analyse trends, identify data anomalies and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Coordinate reporting requirements for management committees, ExCo, Board and other governance forums.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, clearly presented and aligned to agreed business requirements.
- Data management and quality
- Maintain data integrity across relevant systems, registers and reporting tools.
- Perform regular data quality reviews and support remediation of identified issues.
- Support data cleansing, reconciliation and ongoing data maintenance initiatives.
- Maintain reporting definitions, data dictionaries and supporting governance documentation where required.
- Assist with system migrations, enhancements, user acceptance testing and data validation activity.
- System management and access administration
- Coordinate user access requests, amendments and removals across relevant business systems.
- Maintain access registers and appropriate evidence of approvals.
- Support periodic user access reviews and certification exercises.
- Help ensure access permissions are aligned to job role requirements, least privilege principles and segregation of duties expectations.
- Liaise with Technology teams, system owners and business stakeholders regarding user provisioning and access controls.
- Training calendar coordination
- Maintain the annual training calendar and coordinate mandatory regulatory, compliance and operational training activity.
- Schedule training sessions, liaise with presenters and issue relevant communications to attendees.
- Monitor completion rates, maintain evidence of attendance and prepare training MI for management reporting.
- Support training needs analysis, role-based learning plans and follow-up on overdue or incomplete training.
- Remediation support
- Support the tracking, coordination and closure of any remaining remediation tasks.
Skills, experience and knowledge
- Essential
- Experience producing MI, KPI packs or governance reporting.
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis and reporting outputs.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience maintaining records, trackers or governance documentation.
- Strong organisation skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Desirable
- Financial services, risk, compliance, remediation or governance experience.
- Experience administering business systems and user access controls.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Power BI, QCore, or similar platforms.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, analytical and comfortable working with detailed information. They will be able to manage multiple workstreams, follow through on actions, challenge data quality issues and present information clearly for senior stakeholders. This role would suit someone who enjoys building structure, improving controls and ensuring that reporting, documentation, training activity and residual remediation actions are reliable, well evidenced and delivered to closure.
