About this role

We’re hiring a Senior Platform Product Manager to own two of our most critical platform areas: our API gateway and our observability platform.

What You’ll Own

  • End-to-end product strategy and roadmap for both platform areas
  • Core API gateway capabilities including traffic management, rate limiting, and logging
  • Standards and experience for metrics, logs, traces, alerting, dashboards, and operational reporting (powered by Datadog)

What You’ll Do

  • Set a clear product vision for both platform areas and translate it into multi‑quarter and multi‑year roadmaps
  • Partner with engineering leaders across two teams to shape priorities, drive execution, and unblock delivery
  • Balance client commitments, commercial opportunity, technical health, security/compliance needs, and unplanned demand
  • Define measurable outcomes and use them to guide prioritization
  • Write crisp requirements and strategy documents that scale across engineering and senior leadership
  • Maintain a healthy Jira backlog and communicate progress proactively

We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning cloud platform infrastructure
  • Good understanding of API concepts – latency, rate limiting, response codes
  • Experience with Datadog or comparable observability tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to set product vision and strategy, and communicate it credibly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Excellent prioritization judgment in ambiguous, highly technical areas
  • Strong written communication: specs, strategy docs, and proposals that stand on their own with both technical and executive audiences

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with API gateway platforms (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, or similar)
  • Fintech or financial infrastructure experience
